ANOTHER GREAT FEW WINS FOR THE SENIOR CLASS! This morning at the ripe time of 8 am, senior students dressed in all kinds of ‘rhyme without reason’ flooded their advisories and proudly notified the class council of their multitude of numbers, starting the day strong, taking the FIRST PLACE DUB in most dressed! During break, we marched to the gymnasium (trying our best not to scuff the ‘beautiful’ new floors, as Ms. Bongard requested) and sat down to watch Annie Polstein (dressed as Maine) and Devyn Doyle (dressed as Major Payne) win yet another spirit week event in best dressed! Our winning streak took a sinister turn when Ethan Hoffman and Julia Lawwill fought hard in the medicine ball throw but undeservingly fell to 4th place. This event was a strange contradiction—Julia Lawwill scored fair against the other girls, averaging just below what the other grades were throwing, but beastly Ethan Hoffman threw the medicine ball significantly farther than the other boys, even hitting the gym ceiling on his second toss. For the day's last event, unified basketball, word isn’t out yet. Many seniors who were participating in cafeteria decorating came to the game, packed the stands, and even performed a dance during halftime, which was seriously hilarious and looked very fun. As of now, not counting the unknown unified basketball turnout, we are beating the juniors by one point.
