This year’s swim season was a huge success! We started our season with our captains Sarah Dressel and Daisy Brewer leading the team to many victories, with the girls team going 7-3 and the boys 8-2! Many PRs were made this season, as well as returning alumni coming to cheer us on at meets. This season was full of support and fast swims, and we’re sad to see our seniors go. Sarah, Daisy, Gabe, Lyla, and Annabel have been a huge part of the team for the years that they’ve been here and we’re so thankful for the effort they’ve given to the team. Southwesterns, which was our penultimate meet, couldn’t have gone any better! After a tough battle of back-and-forth between Thornton Academy the whole meet, the girls ultimately placed second with 213 points and TA with 218. The boys also swam fast and gave their all, and ended up placing second as well! For States, the girls team placed seventh and boys placed ninth to finish off the season, and both teams received the sportsmanship award! We’re so thankful for a great year and can’t wait for more fast swims next season, and if you’re interested in the swim team at all, we’re welcome and excited for any new swimmers and teammates!
